§ 11.20.220. Fireworks prohibited.

No person shall use, discharge, or possess for the purpose of sale, use or discharge any fireworks or other explosives within the Nacimiento recreation area. Excluded from the prohibition of fireworks under this chapter are the following types of fireworks if written approval is first secured from the responsible fire jurisdiction:

(1)

Agricultural and wildlife fireworks (as defined in Health and Safety Code Section 12503).

(2)

Emergency signaling devices when used for non-emergency purposes (Health and Safety Code Section 12506).

(3)

Exempt fireworks (Health and Safety Code Section 12508).

(4)

Model rocket engines (Health and Safety [Code] Section 12520).

(5)

Special effects (Health and Safety Code Section 12532).
