§ 24.510.050. Schedule of civil penalties for unlawful standing or parking.

  • Any violation, occurring within the jurisdiction of San Luis Obispo County Regional Airport and Oceano County Airport, of any regulation governing the standing or parking of a vehicle under the California Vehicle Code, any federal statute or regulation, or any ordinance or resolution lawfully enacted by local authorities, shall be subject to the following penalty schedule and shall be collected as a civil penalty:

    San Luis Obispo County Code 24.24.040 — Blocking of vehicular traffic, walkways, entries and gateways—poses a safety and security risk $50.00 A
    San Luis Obispo County Code 24.24.041 — Red curb — No parking at any time. Vehicles in violation will be towed away at owner's expense. 50.00 A
    San Luis Obispo County Code 24.24.042 — Bus zone — No parking 50.00 A
    San Luis Obispo County Code 24.24.043 — Unauthorized vehicles in a designated handicap parking space 340.00 A
    San Luis Obispo County Code 24.24.044 — Improper parking — vehicle utilizing more than one space or parking more than eighteen inches from the curb 30.00 A
    San Luis Obispo County Code 24.24.045 — Unauthorized parking — Any vehicle illegally stopped or standing, blocking vehicular traffic, walkways, entries, gateways, for-hire spaces or parking 50.00 A
    San Luis Obispo County Code 24.24.046 — Illegal parking of for hire vehicles—vehicles not authorized via airport use/access permit ensuring proper insurance and maintenance of vehicles 50.00 A
    San Luis Obispo County Code 24.24.047 — Time limits—meter violations, limited commercial, thirty-minute, and loading zone areas 40.00 A
    San Luis Obispo County Code 24.24.110 — Illegal parking in restricted areas—any vehicle parked or unattended in a restricted area of the airport 50.00 A

    Penalty for late payment (payment is considered late if not received 21 days after issuance) 50% of initial violation

    A  Fee has been adjusted to include mandated surcharges allowed by the State of California and previously adopted by resolution of the Board of Supervisors. The Board has delegated the authority to the Auditor-Controller to periodically adjust the penalty amounts for pass through mandated charges.
