§ 28.05.010. Governance of General Hospital and the Family Care Centers.

(a)

Upon completion of the transfer of governance, maintenance, operation and management of General Hospital and the Family Care Centers, the hospital authority shall be vested with all applicable powers and duties specified by SB 538, subject to any limitations on such powers and duties that arise from the provisions of SB 538, applicable federal and state laws and regulations, this title, the hospital authority bylaws, and formal agreements entered into by the hospital authority.

(b)

The hospital authority shall provide the San Luis Obispo County Board of Supervisors sixty days' notice prior to closing a facility, or eliminating or reducing the level of medical services provided at General Hospital or the Family Care Centers. Such notice shall include a statement of impact as specified by San Luis Obispo County or required pursuant to Health and Safety Code Section 1442.5.
