§ 2.03.030. Duties of director and training services.

The director of employment and training services shall generally advise, assist, and be responsible to the board of supervisors for the proper and productive administration of the county's employment and training services programs and shall:

(1)

Plan, organize, and direct the activities of the department of employment and training services;

(2)

Supervise the preparation and administration of the department of employment and training services' budget;

(3)

Supervise staff in development of the county wide comprehensive employment and training programs;

(4)

Initiate the collection, compilation and presentation of data relative to economic and human conditions;

(5)

Represent the county at local, regional and statewide meetings involving employment and training activities, legislation and other matters pertinent to CETA activities;

(6)

Direct the preparation and distribution of employment and training plans and reports as required by state and federal agencies;

(7)

Such other duties as are set forth in this code or as may be authorized by the board of supervisors.
