§ 2.11.058. Permit requirements for commercial motion picture and television productions and still photography—Film industry liaison and issuing agency duties.

  • (a)

    The San Luis Obispo County Film Commission is designated as the San Luis Obispo County film industry liaison and shall:

    (1)

    Provide information and referral assistance, resource material and applications to individuals and/or organizations desiring to conduct motion picture, television or photography activities in the County of San Luis Obispo;

    (2)

    Develop and administer programs to promote the development of the film industry in the County of San Luis Obispo;

    (3)

    Cooperate and coordinate with public and private sector representatives seeking to promote the development of the film industry in the County of San Luis Obispo;

    (4)

    Perform such other duties as may be prescribed by the board of supervisors.

    (b)

    The issuing agency shall:

    (1)

    Coordinate with county departments, agencies and districts for the approval and issuance of facility usage permits required to film, video tape or photograph on their respective county or district property;

    (2)

    Collect the appropriate charges and fees;

    (3)

    With the assistance of the appropriate county departments, agencies and districts, monitor the activities or permittees to assure compliance with permit requirements;

    (4)

    Perform such other duties as may be prescribed by the board of supervisors.
