§ 2.16.015. Surveyor shall serve at the will of the board.

The person appointed as county surveyor shall hold such designation at the will and pleasure of the board of supervisors pursuant to Government Code Section 27550. This appointment shall not affect the classified civil service of a person designated to be county surveyor. To recognize this additional responsibility the appointee shall receive a five percent increase in salary during their tenure.
