§ 2.17.020. Qualifications for director of airports.

The director of airports shall possess a combination of training, education, and experience
that provides the knowledge, skills, abilities and competencies necessary for the
successful management of the airports department. Typically s/he shall have graduated
from an accredited four-year college or university with a bachelor's degree in aviation
management, business administration, public administration or a related field and
have five years of management experience in the overall operations and services of
an airport. Certification as an Accredited Airport Executive (AAE) through the American
Association of Airport Executives and experience at a commercial airport certified
under Federal Aviation Regulations Part 139 is desired.
