§ 2.18.050. Abolition of county engineer and transfer of duties.

With the enactment of Ordinance No. 2930 on March 20, 2001, the office of county engineer was abolished, and was replaced with the office of the director of public works and transportation. Since the enactment of said ordinance, any reference to the "county engineer" in this county code refers to the "director of public works and transportation." Any civil engineering functions which are required to be performed by the county engineer per statute, ordinance, regulation or contract shall be performed by a registered civil engineer acting under the authority of the director of public works and transportation.
