A county planning commission in and for the county is established and created under
and by the authority of Chapter 1800, Statutes of 1965, state of California, as required
by Title 7, Chapter 3 of the Government Code. The planning commission, together with the board
of supervisors and the department of planning and building, are designated as the
"planning agency" of the county pursuant to section 65100 of the Government Code.
The department of planning and building is designated to be the planning agency for
the purpose of issuing conformity reports pursuant to Government Code Section 65402.
The board of supervisors is designated to be the planning agency for the purpose of
issuing conformity reports pursuant to Government Code Sections 65401 and 65403, paragraph(c).
