The San Luis Obispo County Health Agency is hereby established. The agency shall be
administered by the health agency director who shall possess the qualifications and
experience required by Section 2.26.020. The health agency shall include, but not be limited to, behavioral health, public
health, drug and alcohol, environmental health, public guardian, law enforcement medical
care, county medical services program, other health related programs and administrative
support components. The health agency director shall be appointed by, and serve at
the will and pleasure of the county administrator at a salary to be set by the board.
