There is hereby created and established, pursuant to the provisions of section 880
et seq. of the Welfare and Institutions Code of the State of California, a juvenile
camp for the County of San Luis Obispo. Said camp shall be known as the Coastal Valley
Academy and may be so designated in court orders and other official documents. Said
camp shall be situated at the San Luis Obispo Juvenile Hall, located at 1065 Kansas
Avenue, San Luis Obispo California, unless changed by resolution of the board of supervisors.
The internal affairs of said camp shall be under the management and control of the
county probation officer. Said camp shall be under the charge and supervision of a
superintendent or director as named, selected and appointed by the county probation
officer, subject to confirmation by the board of supervisors. All other personnel
at such camp shall be selected and appointed by the county probation officer in accordance
with Chapter 2.40 of this Code, as may be applicable.
