§ 8.06.010. Construction plans required.

  • When a building permit is required to construct, convert, alter or remodel a restaurant, bakery, commissary, food establishment open to the outside air, retail dairy, roadside stand, retail food production and marketing establishment, public swimming pool, organized camp, public water supply system, or a noncommunity on-site sewage disposal system serving mobilehome parks or recreational vehicle campgrounds, four sets of plans drawn to scale and accompanied by a complete set of schedules and specifications shall be submitted to the planning department. The chief building inspector shall furnish one complete set of plans to the health officer for his approval. The plans shall be approved, modified or rejected within ten working days after the receipt by the health department and the applicant shall be notified of such decision. When required, a building permit shall not be issued until the health department has approved the plans. When a building permit is not required to perform the above listed activities, three complete sets of plans shall be submitted to and approved by the health officer before work is initiated on the project.
