§ 8.12.960. Appeal.

  • (a)

    Except as provided in subsection (b), below, any person who is dissatisfied with an action of the health officer under this chapter may appeal to the board of supervisors. A majority decision of such board shall be required to reverse the previous action. The appeal shall be taken by filing with the clerk of the board a notice of appeal within fifteen days of the action of the health officer. The hearing on the appeal shall be held only after a notice thereof has been mailed to the appellant and respondent at least fifteen days before the hearing.

    (b)

    Any person dissatisfied with a denial of a solid waste facility permit, or permit condition pursuant to Section 8.12.610, may appeal the action to the local enforcement agency for a hearing as provided for in the Public Resources Code, commencing with Section 44300.
