Any person, whether as a principal, agent, employee, or otherwise, violating or causing
or permitting the violation of any of the provisions of this chapter, shall be guilty
of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction thereof shall be punishable by a fine of not
more than five hundred dollars or by imprisonment in the County Jail for a term not
exceeding six months, or by both fine and imprisonment. Such person shall be deemed
to be guilty of a separate offense for each and every day during any portion of which
any violation of this chapter is committed, continued, or permitted by such person.
Any violation of this chapter can result in civil penalties equivalent to the cost
of the enforcement, the abatement, and the liquidated damages to the county in the
amount of five thousand dollars per day.
