§ 9.08.230. License fees.

  • The division shall collect a fee for dog licensing.

    (1)

    The owner or custodian of an unaltered dog may place a deposit for spaying or neutering with the division for a one-year license. This deposit shall be forfeited if said operation is not performed by the expiration date of the license.

    (2)

    A late penalty, as set by the board of supervisors, shall be charged if:

    a.

    A license is not renewed prior to the expiration date;

    b.

    Puppies are not licensed within thirty days after reaching four months of age;

    c.

    Any dog brought into this county is not licensed within thirty days;

    d.

    A person acquiring possession of a dog over four months of age does not license it within thirty days of taking possession.
